GREYTOWN HORTICULTURAL SHOW.
At the Grey town Horticultural Society's Show, which was held in the Town Hall, were to be seen comprehensive N displays' in exhibits that touched the domestio sido of life, as woll as that- of flowers and vegetables. Mrs. W. J. Martin and Mrs. A. Martin were the judges of the home produce, which included butter, scones, fancy buns, cakes, bread, bottled' fruits, pickles, etc. Mrs. Cormack,- Mrs. Johnston, and Dr. Macarthy were the judges of homo work, which covered a display of crochet, knitting, patching, montmclliek work, drawn-thread work, painting' in oils, in water-colours, and amateur photography, as well as chip carving. There was also a children's section, iii which Mrs. Cormack and Mrs. Johnston wero judges of home work; Mesdames W. and A. Martin of . cooking ; Miss Hardy of decorative work; Dr. Macarthy, art exhibits; and Mr. J, F. Thompson of writing. In the decorativo section, of tho show there were many entries, and. some ! effective and artistic results .were secured. Miss Hardy was the judge of-this class.
