TECHNICAL EDUCATION
; MEETING OF THE BOARD. The monthly meeting of the Wellington Technical Education Board was held last night. There were present: Messrs. D. Robertson (in the chair), M. F, Luckie, W. Allan, and G. Frost. The financial statement set out the receipts for the month at £1336 13s. lid., as 'compared with £691 4s. 9d. for the same month last year, and the expenditure at £1466 65., as compared with £1441 3s'.' Bd. last November.. A debit balance of £493 14s. 2<l. was recorded. .
!At the conclusion of th© business of 'the meeting, which was the last ono for the year, Mr. La Trobe, director of the school, thanked the members of the board on behalf of the school staff for tho great interest they had taken in tho work of the school. In reply, Mr. Robertson said ho was sure .'that tho excellent work going on in the school was doing a great deal of good for.! the community. He remarked that ho could vouch for this, from his own experience of the youths in his workshops. The benefits they had derived from tho school in their line of trade was very ovident. •
