IF ENGLAND IS INVADED
CORPS OF IRREGULARS TO BE FORMED '(Rec. November 28, 0.25 a.m.) London, November 27. Lord Haldane, the Lord Chancellor, announced in the House of Lords that the War Office ill organising the dofence of the country had arranged to assume the direction of the civilian population. In the event of an invasion, corps of irregulars would'be supplied with badges and would be commanded by military officers in. order to conform to The Hague Conven'tipn.
