Morris has signed on the Warrlmoo as second engineer. Mr. A. Duncan, second officer of tho Himitangi, left that vessel at Wellington. Mr. Amies is at present relieving in the local office of the Union Company. Mr. R. Houghton, fifth engineer of the Monowai, having come ashore, Mi\ W. Looney has filled the vacancy. Mi - . J. Barr has joined tho Pukaki 'as third officer. Before tho Tarawera, leaves Wellington for southern porta to-day she will land 350 tons of northern cf.T zo here. Overhaul to the Pateena will bo completed in time for her to take up her running in the WellinEton-Pioton-Nelson servico to-morrow at 5 n.m". The Majiourika will revert to her schedule running, leaving Wellington at 5 p.m. to-morrow for New Plymouth and Wellinirton. An expected arrival in port from New Plymouth to-day is the Union steamer Pukaki. She is bringing 4837 crates of cheese for transhipment to tlio Zealandic. as well a 5.830 crates for the Rokaia. Tho Patea boats will be busily engaged this week in conveying cheese to Wellington for transhipment to Home liners. From Liverpool direct tho F. and 8 liner Buteshire is due at Auckland tomorrow. Her next port of call will be Wellington, where she is due about Tuesday, December 1. The Arahura arrived, at Greymouth from Wellington, via way ports, at 1.30 p.m. yce. terday, and was to have left on the return trip at midnight. Advico has been received by tho local office of the A. and A. Lino stating that their chartered steamer Star of New Zealand, wliieh is en route from New York to New Zealand ports, had left Adelaide for Auckland. Tho vessel is due at the northern port on November 30.
