HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. Tho customary weekly change of programme will bo given by tho FuilerBronnan Vaudeville Company at flis Majesty's Theatre this evening, when several artists now to Wellington will appear for tho first time, amongst them being tho Three Newmans, trick cyclists ; Lwaxy, a violinist of some distinction, and a dancer to tho accompaniment of his own violin; Matilde and Elvira, two Spanish dancers (re-ongaged); Gruott and Gruett, whose engagement is rapidly coming to a conclusion; Mysto will appear in a number of now illusions; Monaban and Sheehan, whose instrumental turn has becomo so popular will play a new repertoire of popular select-tons; Brinkman and the Steele Sistors will submit for the first time several novel and artistic solos and concerted numbers; Miss Eloise Taylor soprano vocalist, and Miss liia Lucas' comedienne, _ will complete the programme, which will he repeated nightly A matinee will be given on Saturday.

THE KING'S THEATRE. ■ 1 The start attraction for to-nlight's change of programme at the King's Theatre is "lie Shepherd of tho Southern Cross," an Australian play, by an allAustralian cast, headed by Miss Vera Pearce, Australia's beauty aotress. It is a play of life in the great "nevernever" land. The first scenes of the piece are laid in London, where, entirely innocent of a crime ot which he had been accused, a young man decides to seek oblivion in the land of the Southern Cross. The photography is just as good as that of the best European or American pictures. Tho acting is in very capable hands, the heroine, Miss Vera Pearce, being particularly impressive. Supporting items include "The Gaumont Graphic," "Tho Basket Habit" (comedy), "The Study of Flowers" (coloured), and "Don't jvlonkev with' tho Buzz Saw" (comedy). Tho King's Orchestra will render tuneful selections. THE EMPRESS THEATRE. "Tho Billionaire," described as Klaw and Erlanger's greatest photo-comedy, will be the premier attraction at the Empress Theatre continuous piotureß today and to-night. The plot is woven around a fabulously wealthy American, who decides to go to the Continent for a holiday. He embarks on an Atlantic liner, accompanied by his valet. The experiences of the two are responsible for almost continuous laughter. The billionaire wins enormous sums at the roulette tablo, passes his luck on to others, escapes from numerous challenges _ to fight duels, takes passage in an aeroplane, and finally gives a remarkable theatrical performance in a theatre specially built by him for the occasion. The film occupies over three-quarters of an hour in the screening. "Sentinels of the .Deep" is a, fine series depictiag a number of British warships now patrolling the North Sea, and also the ill-fated H.M.S; Hogue and H.M.S. Good Hope. There are other excellent supporting items.

, MR. FRANK WRIGHT. Next Wednesday evening the patform of the Town Hall Concert Chamber will be occupied by Mr. Frank Wright, a talented entertainer and humorist, who is appearing under the direction of Mr. Faulkner Smith. Included in .the entertainer's programme are "The Groom's Story" (Sir A. Conan Doyle). "Mv First Recital," "Snorkins," "When I was a Boy at School," "0 Memory," "The Man with the Single Hair," "How we Laugh," "The Stammering Sweethearts," "What a Fool You Woufd Be," "And So Do I," "Good-bye to Maudie," "A Handy Littta Thing'' to have About You." Mr. Wright will also give his facial expression sketch entitled "Hats and Faces," and will tell a number of humorous stories. The assisting artists are Miss Mina Caldow, Mr. Sydney Allright, and Miss Gladys Watkins. Patrons are assured of a de-lightful-evening's entertainment, for Mr. Wright comes with a big reputation as an entertainer. "THE PROPERTY MAN." If a vote were taken throughout the world of picture patrons as to whom was their. favourite comedian, ■ without question Charles Chaplin, "Keystone's" great artist, would top the poll. Charles Chaplin has appeared in many laughter successes, but nothing can approach his unique comedy in "The Property Man." From the first foot of film until the end of the 2000 ft. which comprises the picture, not one minute elapses without continuous laughter from patrons who see this very funny artist. His actions and quiet methods of getting his laughs in "The Property Man" will absolutely convulse patrons when they see this picture screened at "Everybody's" Pictures at noon to-day. "Antwerp Under Shot and Shell" eives patrons a splendid view of the horrors of modern warfare. _ Particular interest attaches to this picture, as it shows the arrival of Britain's naval force and the marines in'the firing line. "Abide With Me," a play of everyday life; "Mount Dore," Pathecolour scenic; "Tell-Tale Scar,"an absorbing draina; and the latest news from the war will all be screened on the hew/bill, commencing at noon to-day at "Everybody's" Pictures.

MAOMAHON'S THEATRE. "The Hand That Condemned" is the title of a photo-play which has attracted a considerable number of people to MacMahon's Theatre in Manners Street. The plot is an exceptionally good one, and the interest is sustained throughout the whole production. There will be additional pictures presented to-day, and these will include "The Real Mothe," "Universal Times," and "Married at Last." A full change of programme is announced for to-morrow., PEOPLE'S PICTURE PALACE. To-day will be change-day at the People's Picture Palace in Mannors Street. The new programme is said to contain some of the best pictures .whioh have been 6eon in the City. The "star"' attraction will be "La Ballerina the Ballet Dancer," a picture full of interesting situations and strong dramatic incident. The eleventh production of the "Lucille Love" series will also be shown to-day for the first time here.
