Miss; Eva Booth, and Mr. ,W. Roberts were, tfle chief exhibitors in pot-grown piants having some very' firio' specimens ;;Thero-were some'very ■ tuio-flowers shown in tho cut flowers section,;- tho sweet pens • shown by Miss 'Bunjiy of Ahiawlie, being' greatly admired. Mr. A: B66th, tho well-known grower or roses, -as usual had a fine en-try-m this clasSj-'.and- had as a keen . . competitor Miss Bunny, these two being ,;.■: •tbe I ;principal prize-takers in - this- class. .J.htf'award for the best rose, in the room Miss Bunny. Tho judge of cut flowers specially-: commended ' Miss Bunny s collection of sweet peas, as ;the.:best exhibit he had seen this season, the, prizes in sweet peas falling to Miss-Bunny, Miss Effie Booth, and Mrs. Katlibone, who were the chief exhibitors; In pansies,,Mr. W. Stidolph, iMasterton, had a .very/even collection, and-secured the first, award, - with Mr. '■T._M. Clarerille.'second.- Mr. ■jStidolph was also awarded;the prize for Ithe;best pansy in the robin'.' -Miss Galwas also a, successful' : ,exhibition of pansies. In cut flowers, other successful exhibitors were: Miss' .'-'L. Oates, Parkvale, Misses Baggailey and- Ellis, Carterton -Mrs. G. H. Eaton, ..'Parkvale; Mrs. W. Roberts, Belvedere; 'Miss/Marjory Booth, Gladstone; and 'Mr.;>J. S. Berriman, Masterton. Tho decorative class was as usual well represented, the principal prize-takers being: Misses Burns, Deller, 'Dudson, Turner, iWolt'ers, Booth, and Mesdames' Feast, andJ2. J. Aplin. There'was good com.petition in the decorative' table class, '■Mrs;:'.]?. C. Bunny being first, Mrs. T. J. Rathbono second, Mrs. A. Feast third, and Mrs. Trapp fourth. -There .was a-yery good assortment of fruit and vegetables, Mr. B. Roberts being awarded first for local-grown- strawberries. 'Messrs; Booth, Murray, Harp, King, Berriman, and Abbott were the principal exhibitors. The home industries .was a good class, and it was pleasing to;.!see such keen competition in many of':the sections. :;Mesdames'Ra'thbone, Feast, A. King, 0. K. Fairbrother/ Sustins, M'Phee, C. Goodin, Roberts,, and Misses Deller and Harvey being the, chief award-takers. '.";'.!'..-""■' I Fancy work was not aTbig class, but the work exhibited' was excellent. Misses Gallon,; Eva Booth, K.. Deller, J : Winnie Feast/'L.: A:-Fisher,-Galligan, , ■Ida Feist, and Mesdames Feast,, and : M'Kenzio (Masterton) being the'prin- ' cipal winners. There was not a' large entry of school exhibits, the special fea- , ture in this cla-ss being the wood-carv- : , ing from tho Belvedere School: In'this : . ■ section Lcn Do Lacey was awarded first, i 'El; Fly second, and J.
