MAORI ELECTION NEXT DAY.
A Proclamation was issued by the Governor yesterday dissolving the General Assembly. _:The Minister of Internal Affaire (the Hon. H. D. Bell) announced'last night that the date for. the General Election Lad been fixed for Thursday, December 10, and the Maori election had been' sot down for the next.day, Friday December 1L The write will be 'issued to-day, and are returnable 28 days later, on December 19. Tlio electoral rolls'close: this evening, and after to-day absent'voters' permits, etc., cannot be applied for. ■■. ■ ■ ■Tlio dale for nomination of 'candidates automatically closes ten clear days before..the date".of election, namely, November.3o.""
