Present indicatione aie.for north-west to south-west winds, increasing stronpr to gale in many parts. Weather cloudy and misty generally, with rain probably following eouthwards of Kawhia s and Castlepoint, especially in tho west- ' era and southernmost districts. The barometer is unsteady, with a falling ' tendenoy at present. The barometer is above normal in the north, but has fallen in- the southern districts since last night. Variable breezes have prevailed in the northern districts, but in end southward of Oook Strait freshening northerly and westerly winds have ruled.
