(By Teleeraph.—Press Association.) Dunedln, November 19. 'At the Presbyterian General Assembly to-night addresses were given by Dr. Bowie, the hero of tho Ambrym disaster in the Now Hebrides, who spoke eloquently of tho heroic action of the nativos during tho trying time experienced. Ho also mentioned ihat the natives were subscribing towards tho cost of the new hospital in place of that destroyed by tho eruption, Mr. George M'Neur, pioneer 'of the Canton Missionary, also spoke, and expressed the opinion that the futuro evangelisation of Chinese would have to be done by the Chinese, and to this end the missionaries were working.
