WHARF CONTROL
NEW OFFICERS FOR THE UNION. ■ 0 meeting of the Wellington' Wliarf. Labourers' Union was held in St. Peter's Hall last night, for the' purpose 'of appointing a secretary in place of Mr. T.-'J. Ladd, and to fill vacancies which had occurred. There was an attendance of about 80 members, and Mr. F. Curtice-was elected to the chair. The report supplied te the Tress was to the effect that Mr. Ladd was replaced as secretary by Mr. J. G. Bruce; Mr. J. L. Radcliffe was replaced as president by' Mr. F. Curtice; Mr. Ladd as vice-president'was replaced by Mr. A'.' Black. Changes in the executive were made as under:—Mr. D. Reidy replaced Mr. Chander, and Mr. G. Smith Teplaced Mr. A. Blaok, who had to resign when appointed viee : president, Mesers. H. Callegan and' J. Shand offered their resignations as executive officers, hut the resignations were not accepted. Mr. A. Kitto, who was absent owing to a bereavement, Tetains his position on'the exocutive council.
