MAGISTRATE'S COURT
POLICE CASES . A LIST OF MINOR OFFENCES The police cases at the Magistrate's Court yesterday morning were heard before Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M. Alexander Joseph Main was remanded to November 20 on a charge of. being a. rogue and a vagabond, being found shortly after midnight in the Clarendon Hotel without lawful .excuse. On the application of Mr. P.. W. Jackson who appeared on his behalf bail Was. allowed in £25, with two sureties of £12 10s., or one of £25. yßonald M'Callum was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon on a charge of being a rogue and a vagabond in that he was found shortly after midnight in a yard at Tui Street, the property of Harcourt and Co., without lawful excuse. For drunkenness Thomas Elliott was fined £2 or 14 days' gaol, and Timothy Donovan, an old offender, was sent to gaol for one month. Four first offend.ers were dealt 'with. CIVIL OASES, The hearing of the civil claim in whioh F. H. Jansen, plumber ,of Wellington, proceeded against A. H. Hunt, Civil Servant, of Wellington, for £2110s. 6d., for work done and goods supplied, was concluded before Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M;. Judgment was given for £15, paid into Court, and £6 10s. 6d., and £3 ss. costs. Mr.' V. R. Meredith appeared for plaintiff, and Mr. E. J. Fitzgibbon for defendant., : DEFAULT-DEBTORS' LIST, Judgment was given for plaintiff by. default ill tho following undefended civil cases, by Mr. W. G. Riddell, The Dominion 1 Clothing Co., v. Whakarau Kotua, £11 95., costs £2 ss. 6d. ; O: W. Price and Co. v. Benjamin Ede, £4 10s., costs 10s.; the Town arid Coun-: try Supply Stores v. W. C. Baulter, £3 3s. 2d.. .costs 10s.; Kodak Australasia, Ltd. v. Walter R. Pike, £9 Bs. 5d.,' costs £1 3s. 6d.; Wellington Publishing Co.-, Ltd., v. Robert Wm. Pounsford, 19s. lid., costs 55.; Public Trustee v. Wm. Blackie £1 45., costs 65.; same v. John Wm. Dolden, possession of tenement and £9, costs £1 Is. - 6d'.; Mary Ann Elizabeth Wadhath 'v. Benjamin Wadham, £10 16s. Bd., cos'te £1 10s. 6d. , " '
In the case of F. W. Vare v. Harry L. Jenkins, defendant was ordered to pay a balance of £4 by instalments of £1 per month."
