CARTERTON NOTES
The following' judges have been appointed for the Wairarapa Horticultural and Industrial Society's summer show at Carterton on Saturday next Homo Industries, Mrs. A. Clark, Feathorston;' fruit and vegetables, Mr. A. R. Hadfield, Greytown; decorative, Mr. N. Fitzgerald, Wellington. • At the District Synod at Mastorton the Rev. C. H. Standage, of Carterton, was elected as representative of the Wellington district at' the conference to be held in Christchurch early next year. At a meeting of the local Foresters' Lodge it was decided to enter a team in tho tug-of-war competition at tho forthcoming patriotic sports at Carterton. '
The many friends of Mr. Richardß, formerly schoolmaster at Parkvale, will regret to hear that ho is at present seriously ill in a private hospital in Maatcrton.
