After referring to the visit of his spiritual adviser, he adds: "Doubtless my demise will'bo-heralded as that of a spy, but I have the spiritual consolation iliac, others have suffered, and I must accept the award of Fate." Mr. W. J. Bryan (United States Secretary of State) is investigating a statement by Charles Inglis, of Chicago, regarding how his passport came into Lady's possession. The passport was submitted to the German Foreign Office for endorsement, and disappeared. The Foreign Office declared that it. was unable to trace it, and Inglis was obliged to.;secure another.
