MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL
A meeting of the ■ Makara County Council wis held yesterday. There were present: Couhcillors A. J. Taylor (in the chair), T. H. Haggerty, J. A. Pyle, G. Monk, and H. J. Mdnaghan. , A letter was received from the Newlauds and Paparangi Ratepayers' and Householders' Association, drawing attention to the dangerous stato of a portion of the new Wakefield Gully Road, which required foncing.—lt was decided that the matter should be attended to. . Councillor Taylor was appointed the council's delegate in the matter of the Hutt Road control, in place of exCouncillor F. T. Moore. _ . It was decided to erect . drinking troughs at Horokiwi and Newlands.
