CHILD BURNT TO DEATH.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) . Gisborne, November 11. A body found floating in'the river this morning has been identified as that of Arthur.Adams, aged 40, a single man, a. labourer. It is not known how he came to get into the river.. The four-year-old daughter, of Fred Powell, Te Karaka, had her night clothes ignited with a candle, and was severely burned. She died this morning. Mrs. Powell, while endeavouring to extinguish the flames, was severely burned.
