Until the war broke out very few people knew that tho lady who has lived for some time in a fine house on Wimbledon Common is tho sister of tho King of tlio Belgians. It was in this house that on a recent Sunday Cardinal Mercier lunched, and thither have como many friends of Belgium. A few woeks_ ago the'-Duchess do Vendomo organised a collection for Belgium at tho beautiful Church of the Sacred •Heart, AVimnkdon> where slw and the jiounft firaggggS .M !.S?.r^ippera.
