NO LACK OF MEN
-BETTER CLASS' AND .SUFFICIENT NUMBERS. Rumours have been current , that the Defence 'authorities have been meeting with some difficulty in getting sufficient men for the reinforcements for the front. An inquiry as to the accuracy .of otherwise ' of the rumours was made of the Hon. J. Allen, Minister of De- . fence, yesterday. ■ "Not. only are we ■ getting enough men," said Mr. Allen, 'Tbut we have collected a'far better lot'of men in every way than we have in the main body; Far more men are offering than we'can possibly send away. . The draft now in camp at Trentham is complete, and the men are keen as-mustard, and- the camp is excellent. I don't think'you: could ■ find' anywhere in the Empire -a better camp than that one at Trentham, or a camp containing a better-class of men. It is well managed, there: is not the semblance of a complaint, and the men are working splendidly. The condition of things there reflects a great desl of credit on Colonel Potter, the camp commandant."
