Tilers are different ways of showing patriotism. A caso worthy of mention in this respect is reported from Onehunga, says the Auckland "Star." All old widowed lady owns a number of cottages about the Onehunga waterfront, from which she derives a small' but steady income. The cottages are occupied by tonants of, in most cases, long standing, and the landlady last tveek convoyed to them the information that slio regarded this as a time for practical patriotism, and tho rent of each cottage would, until the eiid of tho war, ho reduced by a shilling per week.
