Passing the stand Wa.Tstcp had an three lengths, La Reina, Sea Pink, and Kongahere being next, closely followed by Indigo and Labour Day, with Multiply and Guiding Way last. At Cutts's, Warstep was still out by herself, Rongahere being second, just clear of La Reina, Labour Day, Indigo, Kooya, and Sea Pink, with Kilrain, Multiply, and Guiding Way bringing ,up the rear. Traquette redeemed earlier failures-at the meeting by winning the Spring Handicap comfortably:, interest was keen in the Steeplechase between Guncap and Swedish Lad, the latter having won six times in six tries. Even his staunoh supporters'thought the weight would' stop him to-day, and Guncap gained many friends in consequonce. Guncap fell very heavily in front of the stand, and the old hunter won very easily. His win was the signal for a great demonstration.
