OBITUARY
AN EARLY PIONEER., Mrs. S. J.. Thompson, whose death was recently announced, arrived in Wellington from Ireland by tho ship Loch Creo" in 1879. She lived.in Feilding, AVaikato,-Stratford, and latterly Napier and Eskdale, and up to the last few vears of hor life led an extremely active life. She is survived by her husband, Mi - . S. J. Thompson, and a family consisting of Messrs. .'J. H. Thompson (Stratford), H. V. Thompson (Sydney), \ C. Thompson (Taihape), W. S. Thompson (Troopship Arawa, on active service), H. C. Thompson (Napier), C. B Thompson (Napier), Miss Florence Thompson (Eskdale), Mrs., A. Dingwall (Napier), and Miss L. Thompson (Woodville).
In reply to numerous inquiries Mis 9 Milsom states that tho person who is lucky enough to discover paste, powder, or liquid to remove superfluous hair permanently would confer a blessing as well as accumulate' a fortune.
