Another advertiser anxious to join the forces for service abroad,; "desires' a loan of £200 (no'.security available) to provide for the old folks at home*" In another advertisement there is a plaintive appeal for some patriotic lad.v or gentleman to make a Territorial a loan of £5' to enable him io buy his clothing before going on foreign service.
