The men were par- ' j icularly indifferent to" thershells; after • tho first few shells they hardly troubled 1 i to look round. ~ . j Opportunity was later afforded them, j of showing their'-'ciunlities in attack.. .] A certain village possessed tactical im- j portance, and the task of storming; it J was assigned, among others, to the. i Indian troops! 'Thef advanced, under, ' circumstances of. the greatest difficulty, H under heavy rifle and machine gun fire, i with a dash and resolution worthy of ! the highest traditions of the Army. !
