9 SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications aro for a falling barometer and moderate to strong and increasing westerly and northerly winds. Ifalr and warmer weather probable for a shout period in the East Goast districts, but haze and cloudiness are likely to increase gcnerajly for a change, with rain following, especially in tho West Coast and the southern Dortionß of tho South Island. Except in the extreme south fair to cloudy weather has prevailed to-day. Atmospheric pressure lias decreasod slightly, and moderate to strong southerly and westerly winds have predominated. D. 0.
