TRANSHIPMENTS FROM. SYDNEY. Fine weather and fresh north to southwest winds were- experienced by the Hud-dart-Parkor steamer Uiimaroa on the ran across from Sydney to Wellington. The vessel cleared tho'New South Wales,port at 5.15 p.m. on Friday last, and arrived in' port shortly before a a.m. yesterday. Captain Jones, who came to Australia as master of, the Eilerman-Buoknall Liner City of Agra, but took ill whilst the. vessel was at Port Angasta, is still in hospital there, but progressing very satisfactorily. Captain Jack, one of the best known marine surveyors carrying on businoss in Sydney, died recently at the New South Wales port. The deceased was 77 years of age, underwent an operation for appendicitis,, and it was successful, and just when satisfactory progress towards recovery 6et in he gradually failed. The Jiaoriland Steam Ship Company's Ennerdale has gone to Tarakohe to lift the first oargo of cement from that port for Australia. The shippers are the Golden Bay 'Cement Company and the cargo .will amount to ■ 1400 tons.
