A special general meeting of members of the Wellington Racing Club was called for yesterday afternoon to receive a ballot for the election of trustees. A ' quorum was not forthcoming and after waiting.the regulation timo (half an'hour), the president (Mr. J. B. Hareonrt) declared the meeting closed and announced that the committee would receive the ballot. There were five nominations for the positions of trustees and three -ire to bo elected.
