Dealing with • largo estates, Mr. Wright said that the 1 Government were charged with being the friepds of the large land-holders and land monopolists. The candidate condemned' the Government administration .for non-fulfilment of promises made. In reference to the Huutly disaster, he said the. Reform Party had failed' .to introduce mining legislation, to prevent the accident, and' added: "The Government must acccpt the responsibility of being guilty of manslaughter."
