Charles EdwaTd Kossitor Ruddick appeared to answer two charges of fori gery, one of forging the name of E. Earl to a. document and| uttering the same to Andrew Clark, 1 and the other of forging the name of R. Wright to a document and uttering the same to Fredk. Campbell Fraser. Accused was remanded to Wednesday next, bail being allowed in £25, with two sureties of £12 10s. each, or one of £25. OTHER CASES. James Gallagher was fined £3 or ono month for using obscene language, and £1 or seven days for resisting- Constable Harrison. ■John Smith, who had assisted and incited Gallagher in his resistance, was fined £2 or fourteen days for obstructing the police. ■ For drunkenness Thomas Watson was fined 10s. or 48 hours.. Five first offenders wore dealt with, and one was convicted and ordered to pay medical expanses, 17s. 6d., and tlio others convicted and discharged. CIVIL CASES CLAIM FOR 7 GOODS AND WORK • i DONE. Further evidence was taken in re-spect-to the civil claim for work done and goods supplied, which F. H. Jansen, plumber,; of Wellington, preferred against A. H. Hunt, Civil Servant, of Wellington, tbe amount involved being £21 10s. 6d. The sum of £15 had been paid into Court by. defendant in full settlement of tbe claim. After some of the witnesses bad been examined the case was adjourned to- Tuesday next. Mr. V. R. Meredith appeared for plaintiff and Mr. E. J. Fitzgibbon for defendant. . DEFAULT. DEBTORS' LIST.
