MR. W. PERRY RETURNED TO ? THE COUNCIL. An election took place yesterday to fill the vacancy on the Eastbourne Borough Council due to the resignation of Sir. F. P. Kelly. There were two candidates, and the result was as follows: William Perry 153 Charles Russell 135

Majority for Mr. Perry 18 'A recount will take place on Friday. Tho successful candidate polled a majority of <10 votos over his opponent at Eastbourne, and Mr. ' Russell had a majority of 21 in the votes recorded in the city.
