« — "It is the duty, of all patriotic Britishers to consider not whether they should assist in this' object, but how it i 3 possible for them to hold back," so runs the advertisement relative, to tho meeting to be held to-night at 8 o'clock in tho Central Chamber of Commerce! rooms. Winder's Building. The object of this meeting is to form a Patriotic Society in this city and other centres of New Zealand, one purpose of which will' be to assist to provide homes for the Belgian children who have been taken to England, and other matters.
