W- Porter, C.B.:—"That this meeting of delegates of His Majesty's Loyal Veterans desire to respectfully tender their sympathy to Their Excellencies, tho Countess and tfce Earl of Liverpool for the personal 'bereavement sustained by tho death in action of .the brave soldier, Captain the Hon; C. Monck, of the Coldstream Guards, who gallantly gave his life for the Empire." • Mr. J. M. O'Reilly, of the local Customs staff, has been transferred to Dunediu in the.capacity of first-class examining officer, and will take up his new ■ duties about a week hence. . The Rev. A. T. Miss Marsh, the niece of Mr. Page, who has taken considerable interest in the Sunday School, was also presented with a souvenir by tho Sunday School class.
