-—-»■ — CITY CRICKET WELLINGTON COMMITTEE OF MANAGEMENT. The committee, of the Wellington Cricket Association met last night, lhere were present: Messrs. C. G. Wilson (in the chair), M. J. Crombie, J. Fanning, F. Midlane, A. E. Wilson, H. Burton, E. M. Beechey, F. Martin, and o. Bnco. A plan of the proposed boundaries of Nos. 1 and 2 pitches on the Basin Reserve was submitted to tho meeting for examination. A motion by Mr. Crombie, "That the present system of boundaries roniain," was lost. Eventually, after further discussion, a motion by Mr. Brice that the -boundaries as marked on the plan remain was carried. The old boundaries gave 3's and : 4's for hits to a boundary extending along the fence from the gateway to the central shed (opposite the Caledonian Hotel), whilo all other hits wero run out. By the adoption of the new plan, 4 s and 6's are. to be awarded all tho way round, with tho exception of a short stretch along the fence. There will be no running out, but along a certain section of the fenco 3's will bo given for hits to the fence, and 4's for hits over the fence. On No. 2 wicket the previous existing rule gavo 2's for hits to the fence and 3's for hits over,' whilo all the remainder had to bo run. out. The new conditions abolish all running out, and for nearly the whole distance round'3's and 4's are to bo awarded, and 4's and 6's on the eastern boundary. A motion of thanks was passed to Mr. Davis.
