(By Telegraph—Prose ■Association.) Blenheim, October 27. The Marlborough A. and I'. Show opened to-day in splendid weather. Iho resources of the community here have borno the double strain of thowar and a dry season- remarkably well. J.he genoral bulk-and merit of tho exhibi-tion-was well sustained, tho aggregate 1 of the exhibits being about fifty in ex- J cess of last year's. There was a light J falling off in draught and thoroughbred i horses, but light horses keep ,up to < strength. ' The sheep peus wero'not so 1 well occupied, but there was creditablo i competition in cattle, and pigs_ arc on 1 a par with last year, but. gram and i seeds do not bulk so largely m quan- s tity, though the quality is excellent. j It is reported that tho Maugatainoka Cheese. Company has disposed of the season's output of cheese at GJd. per lb. on trucks at Mangatainoka. This is stated to bo the best price obtained by any cliecso company in this district this season. Tho daily milk supply at tho Mangatainoka factory is ovov . 2400 gallons, a substantial increase on that delivered during the corresponding period of last year.
