Th® Karon Riflo Club began the season with a practice match at TVenthain on Saturday, when over 40 members, were in attendance. The weather was fine, but a variable rear wind and changing light proved rather puzzling, especially to some of the new members, or whom there was a good' representation. The Wellington Old Naval Defence Riflo Club fired their second match of their first series on their Miramar range on Saturday. The conditions were nine shots at each 500 and 600 yards. There was a very tricky wind to contend with; and_ consequently scores were not very high. The best results are as follow: —"It. Pringle, 89 -36-2-77; *T. Dell,' 40-34--1-75; J. Wilton, 3—21—15^39. ammunition prizes. W. Harris's team won the challenge badges from Rab'e's team, with scores - as follow:—R. Pringle, 75; W. Harris, 68; R. Bishop, 67; J. Clayden, 63; total, 273. Rajbe's team made 259, The club will continue its competitions next Saturday, the conditions being nine shots at each 300 and 600 yards.
