' On account of tlie large cargo which has to be lifted at Lyttelton for Svdney and Hooart, the depatrure. of the Moeraki from the southern port for Wellington has been postponed till 4 p.m. to-day. She will arrive here to-morrow morning, and will bo dispatched -for Sydney and Hobart at ■5 p.m. MESS TABLE GOSSIP. Captain A. Stewart has recommissioned the Kini at Wellington, and has the following officers associated with him:—Chief officer. Mr. R. Stewart; second, Mr. -A. Russell (late Niagara); third, Mr. R. Johnston, Mr. P. M'Donald is chief engineer, Mr. L. Dawson second, and Mr. C. Boird third. The Anchor Line's email scteamer Koi will make, her first appearance at Wellington from Nelson this evening. She is coming here to be Dlaccd on the Patent Slip for overhaul. The Koi is in charge of Captain Wildman, ten., and she was sent out from Home in sections and put together in Nelson some years ago. Noon to-morrow is the time appointed for the New Zealand Shipping Oompany'e liner Euahinc to leave Wellington for London. Laden with transhipments ex the 0. and D. liner Star of Victoria, the Union Co.'s Waitomo is expected to arrive at Wellington from Sydney, via Auckland,. Napier, and Gisbonie either to-morrow or Sunday. On her initial journey in the new eorvico between Hobort and Wellington, the Union Oompany'e Paloona left the Tasmanian port for the Bluff on Wednesday. She is due here on Sunday, November I, and will Icavo on the return trip, via southern ports, on Monday, November 2. Tho big White Star liner Zea-landio ia expected to leave Aucldcnd, in continuation of her journey from Liverpool to Wellington on Sunday. Port should be made on Tuesday next. A cable, has been received by the local agents for tho F. and S. Line stating that their chartered steamer Whakatane cleared Liverpool for the four New Zealand main ports, -via Cape Town and Hobart, on Saturday, October 17. She should arrive at Wellington about December 22 or 23. Bad weather so delayed the Shew, Sarill steamer Pakeha at the Bluff that the vessel did not leave there for Dunedin till yesterday,, She is. due at Wellington on Thxirsday, Octoberr'29, to complete Homeward loading.
