GERMAN WORKS IN FRANCE.-. (R6c. October 22, 10.55 p.m.) Paris, October: 21. . The' Council of Ministers have _ de« cided to confiscate the Dicletto mines, near CherbDtirg, belongiug to Herr Thyssen, the Germau steel, iron, and ccal magnate.
Herr Thyssen controls the destinies of 50,000 workmen and their families,' and rules over a vast complex organisation of steel, iron, coal, and allied industries. Besides liis Gorman works, ho has. large interests in India, Brazil, on the Black Sea coast of Russia, in France, at Caen in Normandy, and. Mantigny Maizieres. Ho lately acquired from the Dutch Government the right to construct a new waterway at Vlaai'diugon, in Holland. ■■•'■'•■'■
