Merers. W. and-O. Turnbull and Co';, Ltd., report having held their weekly sale in. their Wainoua- yards on Wednesday. A good yarding of cattle camo forward well above advertised numbers, but competition was rather dull, consequently the talk of the yarding went out unsold. The following prices were realised:—Forward empty cow 6, £4 135.; two-year eteers, £5 7s. 6d., £5 10s., to £6 Bs.; yearling steers, £2 Bs., £2 125., to £3; yearling steers and heifera. £2 95., £2 Us., to £3; yearling dairy heifers, £2 10s., £2 165., to £2 195.; wcaner. calves. 17s. 6d.; two-ycor Shorthorn bull, £5 ss. BUUNSIDE MARKET. Dunedln, October 21. At Burnside to-day 162 fat cattle were yarded. Owing to the small entry competition was keen at-late rates. Best bullocks, £13 10s. to £16; extra heavy to £20; .others, £11 to;£l2 10s.; best cowe, £9 to' £12: others, £6 to £8 10s. Fat Sheep.-20G9 penned. The sale opened at prices slightly higher than those ruling last week, and improvement was maintained till near the end of the sale, when values receded.
