ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION
WHY MR. BUXTON WAS SHOT AT. Bukarest, October 18. Ho did not wish Turkey to come under Britain a exclusive influence. '" Mr. Noel Buxton and his brother, Mr. diaries- Buxton, have travelled ex* tensively in Turkoy, and were active in directing public attention to tho state of Macedonia- under Turkish rule. Mr. Noel Buxton is chairman of the Balkan Committee. ■
