STEAMER STRIKES A MINE

- BUT REACHES PORT. London, October 17. The Dutch steamer Noordam (12,531 tons), from New York : to Rotterdam, struck a mine in tho North sea, but' continued the Toyage. Seven of those aboard were wounded. (Rec. October 19, 10.15 p.m.) Amsterdam, October 18. The Noordam has arrived at Rottew dam. The report of the Commission on'Aus-" trian mines in the Adriatic states that the mines were originally fixed by chains.
