Princess Mary's appeal for Christmas gifts 'for the troops says that on Christmas Eve when, like shepherds of old, the soldiers keep their watch, doubtless their thoughts will turn to home and their loved ones, and perhaps the gifts will recall the days of their childhood wben they hung out their stockings, wondering what the morrow had in store—("Tunes" and Sydney ."Sim" Services.)
