GREYTOWN NEWS.
The Greytown Defence Rifle Club held its annual meeting on Tuesday evening, President Waldeii in the chair. The balanoe-shect showed a credit of £6 18s., and the now season starts with a membership of 44. Tho following officers wore elected:— Patron, Mr. J. 0. Bidwill; president, Mr. A. B. Balfour; 'vice-presidents, Colonel Tato, Major Tate/ and Messrs. G. M'Farland, Iraia To. Whaite, E. H. 'Jiotman, T. Ingley, Bas. Burch, P. J. White, H. Walden,'add H. Morrison; executive, Major Tate, and Riflemen T. Orr, Walden, I! C. Trotman, V; Nicholson, F. Moiigun, A. L. Webster, with the president and secretary, ex officio; hon. secretary, Mr. E. Lippim; ■treasurer, Majdr Tate; hon. auditor, Mr. C. W. Armstrong'; ' handicappor, Mr W J. Feast; selection.committee, Messrs. Tate, Balfour, and Walden. Tho subscription was fixed at 10s. A hearty .vote of thanks was passed to those who donated trophies during the past season; It .was resolved to open the season to-day.
