Maurice Barres, the distinguished French author, formerly the Deputy for Nancy, ,who recently visited Al'sacb, states tliftt tho French found the German ambulance at Raon-I'Etapo in an appalling condition, as the result of tho intemperance of the doctors. Tho rooms were full of wounded and mangled bodies, which had been dead over a week. Some of the wounded remained sevoral days with operations half finished.
