A Glsborno Wedding. The marring© took place in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Gisborne, ou Wednesday, of Miss Ituby Annie Gordon Walker, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Walker, of Gisborno, to Mr. Edmund Alfred Church, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Church, of Gisborno.' Miss Beatrice- Walker, Miss Muriel Church, and Miss Gladys Boss were bridesmaids. Mr. Oswald Churchy was best mau. and the grooms were Messrs. Norman and Walter Walker. in the Town Hall. Tho ladies of Wellington were again the hostesses at a function as patriotic in character as that of the previous day (Wednesday), with tho difference that yesterday they had a larger number of sailors to entertain. The function began in the morning, and was continued, with an interval, till about fivo in tho afternoon. The Boy Scouts were present in numbers, and their services were greatly in requisition, both morning and afternoon, .to their intonso satisfaction and 1 interest. Probably no one more ploased with thoir lot in life than the Boy Scouts could be found in the whole of Wellington. Selections on tho organ were played bv Miss Putnam and Miss Medley, and great entertainment was given by the .Maori haka, given by the Hon. Dr. Pomare, Dr. Tβ Rangihirda. M.P., and Mr. Ngata, M.P., which followed tho speech made by the Hon. James Allen. Cheers and the singing of the National Anthem ended an interesting day. Her Excellency the Countess of Liverpool visited the-nail in the morning. Among those proseut were Mrs. Massey, Mrs. Law-rc-nco Taylor, and Miss Massoy, tho Mayor and Mayoress, tlie wives of the Cabinet Ministers, all of whom were assisting with, the hospitality arrangements, city councillors and their wives. Lady Stout, and several members or Parliament and thoir wives. Wahlne Brides. A uniquo and pretty double wedding took place at lurakma last month, when Whare Rduri Grainiha (of Ngatiapa) was married to Te Waiharore Taitoko J3ailey (of Te Atiawa), and Waitere luarumaru Palri (of Ngatiapa) was married to Mekura Kunieroa Tetana (of Wgatituer'a). The officiating clergyman was the Rev. T. H. Itatene, of Martbn, assisted, by tho Rev. G. Williams, df Wanganui. After the ceremany a reception was hold at tho residence of Mr. Rotter, where a large number of guests' were entertained in a huge marqueo. Many valuable and beautiful presents wore received. As tho brides _and their bridegrooms left the church Mrs. Perry played Mendelssohn's "Wedding March."
The engagement is announced of Miss Alyson Gsuyith, third daughter of Mrs. 0. P. Gawith, of "Koeko," Masterton, to Dr. Guv Mosor, third son of Mr. H. Moser, of thidcrfell, Eendal, England.
