At the samo time forfeits are due for the Welcome Stakes and Great Northern Guineas. Anna Carlovna, who won the Eclipse Stakes at Caulfield yesterday, was successful in tho same event last year. The locally-owned horses, Mt. Victoria and Roumania, will bo competing at the South Canterbury Jockey Club's meeting at Timani to-day. Miraculous, Montana, Rerehau, Amber and White, Prince Laddo, Lady Louisa, Crown Pearl, Glenroy, and several other horses are engaged in two events at Masterton to-day. Tho imported mare First Glanoe will be among the runners in tho Flying Handicap at the South Canterbury Jockey Club's meeting this afternoon. Mr. R. W.
