Arrangements have been made by Mr. Petor Taipna for the Auckland express to stop hero on Monday- and pick up mombers of the Native Contingent and take them on to Avondal.e. Mr. Little, ■of tho Railway staff, leaves to-day on a three weeks' furlough. Young lambs in this district are looking particularly well, while the percontago is highly satisfactory. The recent rains have made a wonderful difference to pastures, and farmers generally are jubilant.
