COMPANY SECRETARY IN TROUBLE
ALLEGED FAILURE TO ACCOUNT, (By Toleer&ph.— Profs* Association.) Mai-ton, October 13. At Marion Court this morning, before a Justice of the Peace, iC. R. Gcoke, late secretary of the Marton Farmers' Union, was charged with failing to account for the following moneys: Due to the Wellington Meat Export Co., £65 7s. lid.; to the Waneahui Meat Co., £111 6s: 3d.; Gear Meat Preserving Co., £16 16s. Bd.; R. Edwards, Palmerston ,North, £44 35.; making a total deficiency, less credit at the bank, of £228 3s. 2d. Accused pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court at Wellington for sentence.
