The main rolls for the Parliamentary election closed last week, and in eome cases the returning officers are ablo to give completo numbers. On the Avon main roll there are 7168 names, as against 8179 at the last election; on the . Chxistcliurch North _ roll, 11,000 (approximately), as against 11,137 at the last election', Christchurcli Bast, 6500 (approximately), as against 9300; Christchurcb South, 7480, as against 8100; and Eiccarton, 7413, as against 8117.
