Telegrams, giving details of tie bombardment of Antwerp state that four officers in Fort St. Marie drew lots as to who should remain and fight to the death. . The lot fell to a married man with a family, and another volunteered to take his place. The offer was reluctantly accepted and the three other officers farewelled thoir heroic comrade.
