The "Daily News" Athens correspondent states that General Von.Gock has arrived at Damascus, and has assumed the direction of tho Syrian troops. Hβ is also recruiting Bedouins. GERMANS INSTALLING GUNS. Athens, October 9. It is reported that German officers havo installed forty-two Maxim guns in the forts on the Dardanelles and Bosphorus.
