POSITION OF THE SOLDIERS. The Hon. W. Beohan has given notice in .the Legislative Council that on Wednesday next he will ask the Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. H. D. Boll) the following question:—"Whether the Government will take into consideration the advisability of paying the. contributions of members of the Expeditionary Force who belong to the various lodges and branches of friendly societies in this Dominion, so as to ensure to such members the benefits accruing in case of death and of sick benefits in case they return homo invalided; the contributions to coyer the period from the time of enrolment to the return home of the .troops ?"
