BOMBARDMENT OF TAHITI
VESSELS SUNK AND BUILDINGS DESTROYED TWO LIVES LOST (Rec. October 8, 10.45 p.m.)' ' New York, October 7. Advices received at San Francisco from Papeete state that the bombardment 'did considerable damage. Two vessels were sunk and many residences •were destroyed. Two persons were killed. AMERICA BLOCKING SUPPLIES. (Eec. October 8, 9.5 p.m.) . New York, October 7. The-Federal Grand Jury this week considers evidence against two business houses accused of falsely listing cargoes intended for belligerent cruisers in midocean.
